Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the actual topic of formation of professional competence of future social teachers during the pedagogical training. Integration of Ukraine into the European educational space marked an important problem of modernization of higher education and the need to implement European educational quality standards for the training of qualified specialists. Among the priorities of the state policy in the field of higher education of Ukraine, it is pointed out the improvement of the mechanisms for ensuring its quality, the creation of conditions for a consistent and practically effective formation of competence and professional consciousness of a specialist with a high culture level, value consciousness, critical thinking, creative activity, which will promote economic development and the competitiveness of the state. Today, Ukraine is experiencing a difficult period of acute social problems, one of which is the critical level of social security of the population, which requires the strengthening of personal resources, the restoration of lost potential or the formation of new skills. This problem is getting widespread and attracts social workers’ attention. In addition, at the current stage of development of Ukrainian society there is an increase in social groups that require professional assistance that can be provided by a social teacher. One of the main directions of its activity is to create educational conditions for successful socialization of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
