Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of UAS operators’ professional training in educational institutions of the USA, its comparison with the professional training of these specialists in Ukraine, the formulation of recommendations for introducing positive experience into the educational process of domestic professional training of specialists of this profile. The retrospective analysis of the formation and development of an unmanned aviation industry in the USA is presented. The scientific and methodological literature and regulatory documents are analyzed, stages of development of unmanned aviation in the USA are identified and described, presents their author's periodization, identifies factors determining the development of the system of professional training of UAS operators. The content of the terms “Unmanned Aircraft System”, “Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator”, “Simulator Training of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operators”, “Professional Training of Unmanned Aircraft Systems operators” has been clarified, based on the analysis of professional aviation documents, scientific and pedagogical literature. The normative and legal base of regulation of the unmanned aviation of the USA has been researched in the aspect of the formation and development of the system for the training of specialists of unmanned aviation. The features of the organization of professional training of future UAS operators in the USA are revealed and the main differences, features and advantages of training in two- and four-year programs are analyzed. Features of the content has been identified, the main forms and methods of training of future UAS operators in US educational institutions has been described, and ways to ensure the quality of their professional training has been clarified. The current status of training of UAS operators in higher education institutions of Ukraine has been analyzed. On the basis of a comparative pedagogical analysis of the professional training of UAS operators in educational institutions in the USA and Ukraine, similar and difference has been found, the main criteria for the American system of professional training for noted specialists has been identified, which can be applied in the national system of their training. Recommendations on the use of constructive ideas of the American experience of the professional training of UAS operators in the Ukraine has been developed.
