Essay

The research examines the theoretical foundations and practical ways of improving the professional orientation of the foreign language training of the future specialists in international information on the basis of the use of a competent approach. As a result of the scientific search, the characteristic of the content and features of specialists in international information foreign language training professional direction has been presented. The main element of foreign language training is foreign language professional competence, the structure of which includes motivational-orientation, cognitive-integrative, situational-activity components. The criteria and indicators on high, sufficient, middle and low levels have been defined. It has been determined that the level of its formation allows to trace the dynamics of the investigated process and identify ways of further development of the future specialists in international information foreign language training professional orientation on the basis of a competent approach and choose the most promising methods and means of influencing their positive dynamics. In the practical context, special attention has been paid to improving the methodology of teaching a foreign language and introducing the organizational and pedagogical conditions for ensuring professional orientation of the future specialists in international information foreign language training into the educational process. Organizational and pedagogical conditions are understood as a set of circumstances that contribute to the construction of the educational process, taking into account the interests, needs and opportunities of students for the effective performance of professional tasks in a foreign language environment. The following organizational and pedagogical conditions have been determined based on the use of expert assessments method: the formation of a stable, professionally oriented motivation of students to acquire professionally important knowledge and skills; the transformation of the educational process into teaching majors in a foreign language; application of active forms and innovative teaching methods into the process of foreign language preparation; use of the developed teaching and methodological support by introducing a variant special course «Foreign Language Practice for the Future Specialists in International Information». Organizational and pedagogical conditions laid the basis for structural model of ensuring the professional orientation of thy future specialists in international information foreign language training on the basis of a competent approach. We considered the structural model of ensuring the professional orientation of the future specialists in international information foreign language training as a specially organized activity that allows the educational objectives set to be fully realized. The author’s model is based on the judgments about the fundamental nature of foreign language training of the future specialists in international information and their professional orientation, as well as on the potential of a competent approach. The main components of the author’s model are: purpose, task, content, cycle of disciplines, peculiarities of foreign language training professional orientation, approaches, principles, organizational and pedagogical conditions, methods, practical ways, components, criteria and their indicators, levels and result. The use of such a structural model during the professional training will make it possible to increase the level of success of educational and cognitive activity of the future specialists in international information and will contribute to the improvement of all components of foreign language professional competence. The program of organizing the pedagogical experiment has been presented, the results of the research have been analyzed and summarized, and the methodical recommendations for the qualitative provision of the future specialists in international information foreign language training professional orientation have been offered. In the process of organizing the experimental study a special course «Foreign Language Practice for the Future Specialists in International Information» has been introduced, which was developed on the basis of a competent approach and aimed at raising the level of the future specialists in international information foreign language training professional orientation. The basis of the developed special course is the idea of a cross-cutting integration of goals, content, forms, methods and tools.
