Essay

Object of study - formation of frost resistance level, photoperiodic sensitivity in newly created varieties and features of inheritance of trait of the vernalization requirement in bread winter wheat populations. Purpose of work - to determine the level of frost resistance of source material of winter wheat in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine and to determine the influence of the duration of vernalization period and photoperiodic sensitivity on the formation of this trait. Research methods are general scientific. Practical value - selected varieties of bread winter wheat which can be used in selection on frost resistance as a source of this trait. The methodological recommendations “Determination of the duration of vernalization period and photoperiodic sensitivity of bread winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)” have been developed. In new varieties identified the genes of vernalization requirement. Created (in co-authorship) winter-, frost-resistant variety Estafeta myronivska which included to State Register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine since 2018. Scientific novelty - the features of plant development were established in the early stages of organogenesis after the termination and restoration of vegetation in different by weather conditions years of researches; the photoperiodic sensitivity and vernalization requirement have been determined for varieties MIP Valensiia, MIP Kniazhna, Myronivska slava, Trudivnytsia myronivska, Estafeta myronivska, Hratsiia myronivska, MIP Dniprianka, MIP Assol, Podolianka, Balada myronivska; identified and installed allelic state of genes of vernalization requirement in varieties: MIP Valensiia - Vrd 1; Myronivska slava - Vrd 2; MIP Kniazhna, Trudivnytsia myronivska, Estafeta myronivska, Hratsiia myronivska, MIP Dniprianka, MIP Assol, Balada myronivska - Vrd 3. Scope - agricultural production.
