The mathematical analysis of the empirical data was aggregate out using the statistical software packages IBM SPSS Amos 22.0.0, IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0.0 and R 3.4.1.The object of research: Novelty: for the first time: - the definition of managerial potential as a system of individual potentials of a person (social-communicative, intellectually-creative, leadership, motivational-activity) based on value orientations, personality traits, socio-demographic characteristics; formulation of soft IT skills as general non-specific competencies; a systematic causal model of managerial potential is developed, where two levels of organization are distinguished: the level of individual factors and the level of individual potentials; the idea of individual and personal characteristics of IT-specialists employees was expanded and refined; received further development of the study of the role of value orientations in management activity; deepened understanding of the predictors of motivation for professional activity, including honesty, openness of experience, tolerant leadership, etc .; supplemented the data on the structure of social and communicative potential of the individual, which has two blocks of indicators: the block of professional communication and personal characteristics of communication. Two complementary classifications of leadership styles in the IT industry have been formed: by degree of involvement in organizational activity (removed and involved style) and by equality in communication (parity and dominant style); models for forecasting the professional effectiveness of IT specialists are built taking into account prevailing leadership styles. The scientifically sound model of management potential has been tested by a sample of IT specialists. A psychometrically adapted package of psychodiagnostic techniques for determining the level of managerial capacity formation, which includes questionnaires and an assessment center procedure, as well as a developed grading system can be used in the assessment processes of IT specialists and other categories of engineering technicians.Creating on the basis of forecast models of special software products will significantly increase the efficiency of selection of IT specialists.Theoretical and empirical results of the study are included in the lectures and practical classes of courses "General Psychology", "Psychodiagnostics", "Psychology of stress, coping behaviors and health", "Methodology and organization of scientific research" and more.
