Holovko I. Regionalization processes as a factor in the genesis and functioning of paradiplomacy at the present stage.

The dissertation is devoted to the phenomenon of paradiplomacy, the factor of genesis and functioning of which are processes of regionalization. A conceptual approach to the interpretation of the definitions of "regionalization" and "paradiplomacy" has been formed. The specificity of development and functioning of the concept of paradiplomacy in the conditions of intensification of processes of regionalization is characterized. The leading stages of its formation in political science are distinguished. Cross-border cooperation is analyzed as a form of paradiplomacy. The leading directions of activity of cities, provinces and states as subjects of paradiplomacy are revealed. Cultural paradiplomacy as a component of the "soft power" of subnational actors has been explored.
