Mustafazade P. The Foreign Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Caspian.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of peculiarities of foreign policy of the Azerbaijan Republic in the Caspian region. The priorities, strategy and interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Caspian region are identified. Significance of the international transport and energy projects initiated by the Republic of Azerbaijan is substantiated. A comprehensive analysis of the bilateral cooperation of Azerbaijan with the Caspian states was carried out and the issues of energy security of Azerbaijan in the Caspian region were investigated. The strategic importance of the Caspian region in the system of modern international relations, its cross-border and integration specifics is substantiated. The effectiveness of regional cooperation between coastal states and the particular importance of energy projects have been confirmed.
