Essay

This dissertation is an independently completed scientific work, and details comprehensive research on the evolution of the international legal regulation of international transport corridors. This dissertation is devoted to studying the peculiarities of the evolution of the international legal regulation of ITCs, and analysis of new forms of international transport cooperation. While considering the theoretical aspects of the overall topic, the term “ITC” and its relationship to adjacent categories is investigated. The dissertation classifies the core features of ITCs. The study demonstrates the contemporary features of multimodal transportation in the absence of any single international document regulating the transportation of goods by two or more modes of transport within an ITC. There is also an analysis of the international conventions regulating international transportation (mainly by one mode of transport); this determines the limits of extending these conventions to cover the legal regulation of international multimodal transportation of goods.
