The dissertation comprehensively investigated photographic practices as a specific type of human activity, the evolution of this historical and cultural phenomenon in staged and synchronous dimensions, the ethnoregional features of photographic practices (creation and existence) in the specific variability of various communities in Odessa region. On the basis of professional and amateur photographs, private collections of the population of Odessa region, the epistemological boundaries are expanded, ideas about the heuristic potential of photographs of amateur origin and their significance for the reconstruction of historical and cultural realities are expanded.
