Object of study: public administration of protection of national interests against internal and external threats. Purpose: scientific and methodological substantiation of theoretical foundations and development of practical recommendations for improving public administration processes in the field of national security of Ukraine in the context of internal and external threats to national interests. Methods: dialectical method of cognition; hypothetical-deductive method; analytical method; axiomatic method; foresight technology; method of analogy and modeling; econometric descriptive model. Results: theoretically substantiated and provided practical recommendations for improving public administration processes in the field of national security. Novelty: a structural approach has been developed to improve comprehensive monitoring of the state and dynamics of national security and the formation of an algorithmized information-analytical system for developing security in society; improved methodological approach to assessing the level of threats to national security at the regional level; the procedural algorithm for determining the level of protection of vital national security interests from threats has been improved; the parametric approach to the development of the national security system has been improved; the theoretical and methodological approach to the formation of a strategy for ensuring the national security of Ukraine was further developed; the practical approach to the development and implementation of state policy in the field of ensuring national security of Ukraine was further developed; The substantive-categorical apparatus of science "Public Administration" was further developed through the refinement of the essential characteristics of the concept of "public administration of national security."
