Psychological meaning of the term «primary school students’ imagination» is explained, psychological peculiarities of the development of primary school students’ imagination were determined. The dynamics of development of primary school students’ imagination were empirically identified and the connection between imagination and students’ individual and psychological characteristics was investigated. Gender differences in the creation of imagination images of primary school students and imagination techniques were determined. A psychological model was created, the psychological-pedagogical program of imagination development of primary school students during the educational process is substantiated, developed and tested, its effectiveness and expediency are proved. Methodical recommendations are created for parents, primary school teachers, school psychologists in order to develop the imagination of primary school students.
