Dudina O. Education of the Professionals in Technical Translation in the Universities of the USA

The dissertation is devoted to the solving problems of professional education of Masters in technical translation in Ukraine and it is accentuated on the creation and implementation the innovative technologies in higher education. In the dissertation: the trends in the education of Masters in technical translation in the USA are identified (namely, the tendency of the permanent improvement of translation competence and profile orientation in education of Masters in technical translation in the USA); the concept model of education of Masters of Science in Translation and Masters of Art in Technical Translations in Ukraine is presented (it includes the following components: requirements for the previous degree; system of principles; specialization; the main learning outcomes in the specialization; forms of educational process and types of educational activities; teaching and learning methods; technologies and learning tools).
