Essay

Object of study: determine the regularities of structure and variability of economic characteristics of collecting samples of different chickpeas types, traits of chickpeas resistance (of samples of different ecological and geographical origin) to harmful organisms, detachment of valuable sources for their further use in crop breeding. Purpose: to determine the breeding value of chickpea samples by ascertainment the characteristics of resistance to unfavorable environmental factors and to the complex of harmful organisms; genotypes adapted to the conditions of the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, to determine the characteristics of the complex characteristics of collecting samples of different chickpea species and the detachment of highly productive samples. Methods: general scientific, special, visual, measuring and weighting, biochemical, mathematical and statistical. Recency. The decided task of determining the breeding value of collecting chickpea samples on the basis of ascertainment the peculiarities of the resistance of collecting samples of different chickpeas types to harmful organisms in combination with the important for the selection of chickpea Cicer arietinum L. valuable economic characteristics. For the first time in the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine the peculiarities of the structure and regularities of variability of economic features of collecting samples of different types of chickpeas were ascertained based on the use of different assessment methods. The peculiarities of the collecting samples of seven chickpea species according to the disease and pest damage were determined on the basis of phenotypic stability and agronomic stability coefficients. The value of collecting chickpeas samples for breeding practice by the method of multicriteria optimization is determined. The correlation between the weather conditions of the growing season and the economic features of the collecting samples of different types of chickpeas is determined. Results. Collected chickpeas samples of different types, valuable for the breeding of chickpeas Cicer arietinum L. for productivity, resistance to diseases and pests, adverse environmental factors, protein and oil content, suitable for mechanized collection. The extent of introduction. The formulation is recommended for introduction in public and private breeding and scientific institutions. Theses concerning polymorphism of the collection by a number of valuable economic features, resistance to biotic and abiotic factors and selection of valuable sources for crop breeding are used in the educational process of the Faculty of Agronomy and Plant Protection at V.V. Dokuchaev Kharkiv National Agrarian University and of the Faculty of Agrotechnology and Ecology of the Poltava State Agrarian Academy during the tuition of disciplines: genetics, breeding and seed production, phytopathology and entomology. Scope of implementation: scientific institutions of NAAS and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, higher educational establishments, agrarian enterprises of Ukraine.
