Darmoroz T. Scientific and promotional activity of the All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society (1920–1926).

The dissertation is a comprehensive historical research of the activities of the All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society over the period of 1920‒1926. A thorough analysis of a wide range of original sources and a variety of methodological approaches have been applied to identify main directions of operation, determine the contribution of the Society to the development of homeland agricultural knowledge, science and education. In particular, creation, operation and liquidation of the Society has been reconstructed; the academic potential of the All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society has been evaluated and the main directions of its promotional and educational work have been defined. The work has also covered functioning of the network of territorial-organizational units of the Society (branches), as well as workshops and a thematic museum. The activities of six sections of the Society (agricultural policy and economy; agricultural farm cooperatives; agricultural education; crop production; beet-growing; animal husbandry) has been reconstructed. Their work embraced experimental development of agricultural economics, technology, agricultural education.
