Essay

The object of the study is the patterns of variability, inheritance and formation of breeding value in hybrid generations of soft winter wheat, created with the participation of carriers of wheat-rye translocations. The purpose of the study is to determine the features of the manifestation of valuable economic traits in hybrid generations of soft winter wheat for the use of wheat-rye translocations in the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest Steppe of Ukraine. Research methods are general scientific. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is the theoretical substantiation and use of carrier varieties of wheat-rye translocations for carrying out different groups of varieties of crosses on their basis and solving an important scientific task of determining the manifestation of valuable economic traits in the hybrid generations of soft winter wheat in right-bank Ukraine. Practical significance of the obtained results: created breeding material of soft winter wheat with the participation of varieties-bearers of wheat-rye translocations with higher, in comparison with the parent components, the manifestation of valuable economic features used in breeding of the Mironivskiy Institute of Wheat named V.M.Remesla, and submitted to the scientific institutions of the Institute of Agriculture of the Carpathian Region of NAAS of Ukraine, the Belotserkov National Agrarian University of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of NAAS of Ukraine, Institute of Plant Protection of NAAS of Ukraine. Two patents were obtained for the utility model: "Method of selection of heat resistant breeding material of soft winter wheat" and "Method of selection of complex resistance against the main pathogens of wheat of mild winter". Co-authored high-yielding soft winter wheat varieties for use in wheat-rye translocation pedigrees, two of which are included in the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine (MIP Valencia, Estafeta Myronivska), one (MIP Fortuna) qualification examination of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination.
