Essay

The dissertation presents the substantiation and provides the solution for the problem of training future masters in management of educational institution for financial and economic activity. Our analysis of numerous significant research findings in training future managers of educational institutions shows that both theoretical studies and empirical practice carry certain contradictions that reduce the quality of professional education. Those contradictions are the following: – between the rapid development of scientific ideas about financial and economic determinants of efficient management and current pedagogical tradition of professional training of educational managers, in which entrepreneurial culture of educational institution heads, their ability to technological and economical management is presented as a matter of secondary importance; – between traditional stimulation of academic discipline and subordination of future masters (Specialty 073 Management), and the growing need to demonstrate leadership in real management of educational institutions and their structural units; – between specific requirements to display professional subjectivity and creative abilities of educational establishments heads in their real profession and the abstract nature of practical training and internship of masters in management of educational institution in terms of obtaining real financial and economic experience. Readiness for financial and economic activity of the heads of educational institutions is described as an essential output of training masters (Specialty 073 Management), the essence and content of its main components are analysed. Terminological basis of the problem under study, in particular, readiness for financial and economic activity of educational institutions heads is presented as their specific characteristic, which determines their ability and desire for efficient management, multiplying and saving material and mental values of educational institutions.
