The thesis focuses on the study of historical and evolutionary changes in the basics of modeling the social and communication process in a new media environment of social interaction. The relevance of the topic is stipulated by the need to overcome polydiscursiveness of the scientific understanding of social communication and to identify theoretical and methodological foundations of modeling of the social communication process in the media space of our time. The main results of this research are based on the implementation of historical and evolutionary analysis of social and communication models, based on classical theories of communication. The dissertation also study communication process, the model representation of which passes through the functioning of the constructive elements of the communication process in society. These elements acquire priority depending on the level of development of physical, biological and social components of the society. The work sums up the theoretical significance of the triune principle for distinguishing the stages of emergence of communication models at different stages of social and cultural development of society, which corresponds to the stages of development of social communication during the XX–XXI century.
During the study of theoretical discourses, the new state of ideas about the social and communication process was confirmed by the supplementation with information from various institutional discourses of communication activities in various subsystems of society: political, religious, pedagogical, business, business, management, production, scientific, scientific-information, artistic, legal, library, marketing, public relations, etc. The result of our study is to confirm the hypothesis about the mediation of the communication process of all components of social and cultural life of people, their communities and social institutions, so changes in the conditions of communication lead to changes in their states and the nature of social relations. In addition, we aimed to confirm the hypotheses that the development of technologies of media branches defines a vector of integration in communication process and in a model range of its reflection as well as in the theory, and in practice of use of these models.
It work proves that the disclosure of the triune nature of communication is reflected in the communication process, due to the development of tools and technologies and the level of inclusion of communication in social evolution and social structure. The position on the sociality of the communication process in the society is confirmed. It is possible to distinguish existing models of the communication process at the physical (machine, technological level), biological (symbolic, information) and social (conscious understanding, change of states, behavior) and on this basis to approach the integral modeling of the social and communication process.
The work confirms the existence of a theoretical polydiscursive sphere of the study of the communication process and institutional diversification of communication activities in various subsystems of social activity. The lack of a certain unity in the understanding of the nature of communication, the set of factors, characteristics, signs and operational characteristics of the components of the communication process among scientists inhibits the formation of theoretical and methodological foundations of modeling the communication process during the transition from the information stage of communication development to its media form.
The study of the model range of social communication of the information age led to the conclusion that all previous models corresponded to the social and communicative situation and served the situations of the communication process, which were important for solving theoretical and applied problems of a certain scientific field or different spheres of social activity. The work discusses the process of origin, formation and development of models of the communication process, based on its universal nature, contains physical, biological and social aspects.
