Essay

The thesis is a comprehensive study of the problem of future musical art teachers’ methodological competence formation in the process of vocal training, which is relevant in the light of modern information society development, European integration and educational reform, improvement of future musical art teachers professional training. The essence of the concept of “methodological competence of the musical art teacher”, which in the study is defined as a systematic personality-professional, dynamic entity, which is the ability to solve professional tasks based on motivational, informational-research, reflexive-self-improvement direction of the personality; formation of universal, general scientific, music-pedagogical knowledge and skills and their practical identification in the professional activity. Vocal training of future musical art teachers in the study is defined as the educational process of forming students’ readiness for vocal-performing and vocal-pedagogical activity based on mastering vocal art and vocal pedagogy values on the basis of a competence approach. The structure of future musical art teachers’ methodological competence is substantiated. It includes the following components: motivational-value, information-research, outlook-general scientific, specific scientific-technological, reflexive-self-improvement. The methodology for forming future musical art teachers’ methodological competence in the process of vocal training (components: target, theoretical-methodological, procedural, criteria-resultative) is developed on the basis of interdisciplinary, personality-activity, competence, acmeological, culturological approaches and such pedagogical conditions as activation of students’ cognitive motivation to master the basics of scientific cognition of vocal performance and vocal pedagogy; the use of scientific extrapolation as a methodological procedure in the process of future musical art teachers’ vocal training; involvement of students in the process of vocal training for various types of scientific activities; stimulating development of future musical art teachers’ scientific and methodological creativity at vocal subjects classes in order to achieve their scientific, professional and personal acme. The criteria and indicators of future musical art teachers’ methodological competence formation in the process of vocal training have been determined, in particular: motivational-axiological, information-seeking, outlook-interdisciplinary, research-activity, creative-self-improvement. The methods of forming future musical art teachers’ methodological competence in the process of vocal training have been experimentally tested.
