Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the process of the future aviation specialists’ professional training in the institution of higher education. The theoretical generalization is performed in the work and the scientific task on formation of the future aviation specialists’ innovative competence in the process of studying unmanned aerial vehicles is solved. The analysis of recent research and publications, standards of higher education and empirical pedagogical experience allowed to formulate the concept of the future aviation specialist’s innovative competence as an integrative quality of personality, ability to productively perform innovative activities in aviation, based on acquired competencies: axiological, procedural, organizational implementary, social, information and communication, health, environmental, reflective-regulatory. The structure of the future aviation specialist’s innovative competence identifies four components (cognitive, praxeological, motivational, personal) and specifies the relevant criteria (intellectual, practical, behavioral and individual) according to certain indicators and levels (high, optimal, low) of the aviation specialists’ innovative competence formation, which allowed to offer a diagnostic apparatus to identify the state of its formation. The structural-functional model of formation of the aviation specialists’ innovative competence in the study of unmanned aerial vehicles has been developed, substantiated and tested, the central element of which has become organizational and pedagogical conditions.
