Essay

The possibility of formation of the future nurses’ readiness to develop culturological competence in medical college is conditionally divided into three groups: organizational (the creation of favorable culturological environment that promotes professional growth and availability of methodological, culturological assistance for all participants of the educational process), professional-pedagogical (the choice of practice-oriented methods of professional training, aimed at the formation of culturological competence), technological (the introduction of culturologically oriented subjects into the curricula and system extracurricular work, participating in the collective creative activity). The work determines that the «culturological competence» of the future nurse is interpreted as an integrated quality of the specialist personality, which is formed in the process of professional preparation as the student acquires culturological knowledge embedded in the professional and cultural experience in the field of health care and the development of medicine as a science. The analysis of literary sources on the formation of culturological competence of the future nurses in the process of professional training has allowed to determine the structure of culturological competence of the future nurses as an interdependent combination of motivational-sensual, cognitive-active, research-creative, analytic-effective components. The motivational-sensual component reflects the future nurses’ formation of the need to assimilate information of the culturological content; value attitude to culturological knowledge; persistence in the formation of their own culturological competence, self-development. The cognitive-active component encompasses the complex of culturological knowledge, the formation of logic, systematic thinking, ability to analyze one’s own culture and that of other peoples; cognitive activity; nurses’ awareness of the level of their own professional readiness for the formation of culturological competence; awareness of the need and activity of the individual in the process of self-education, self-improvement; awareness of the existing and required level of development of culturological abilities. The research-creative component is characterized by the ability to use creative potential, medical intuition, orientation to culturological activity; the degree of development of culturological abilities; the need for self-realization, creativity; the level of development of the personal qualities of the nurse: culture of behavior, erudition, scholarship, moral qualities; awareness of existing and required levels of intelligence and thinking development; value attitude to culturological knowledge; creative use of culturological knowledge in the professional activity. The analytic-effective component reflects the formation of the future nurses’ abilities to self-esteem, analysis of their own cultural training, self-control and self-analysis of their results, and skills of self-correction. Taking into account the outlined structure of culturological competence of the future nurses, the criteria and indicators of formation have been determined: motivational (indicators: awareness of the need for mastering of information of culturological content, value attitude to culturological knowledge, persistence in formation of own culturological competence, self-development); cognitive (indicators: the level of formation of culturological skills, knowledge of the specifics of the use of obtained means of culturology and the ability to apply knowledge in work); research (indicators of which are research and professional qualities and abilities, creative potential, measure of creative activity, the level of culturological knowledge); effective (indicators: self-assessment skills of own culturological training with further consolidation or correction of their results, ability to control and analyze the results of their activities consciously). According to the outlined criteria and indicators, the levels of formation of the defined quality of the future specialists have been determined: intuitive-reproductive, structural-searching, creative-constructive. In the course of the research, the pedagogical conditions that provide the formation of the culturological competence of the future nurses in the process of professional training have been determined by the method of expert evaluation: formation of positive motivation of the future specialists to acquire culturological knowledge, saturation of educational space with the information of cultural content; implementation of the special course «Culturological Competence of the Future Nurses», introduction of the tasks of culturological content during the educational practice.
