The dissertation research is devoted to the problem of forming the readiness of marketing specialists for professional activity. In the dissertation the content and structure of the process of professional training of marketing specialists in colleges are defined and revealed; the organizational and pedagogical conditions for forming the readiness of marketing specialists for professional activity are determined, theoretically grounded and experimentally tested; developed a structural and functional model of the process of professional training of marketing specialists in colleges and experimentally confirmed its effectiveness; the content of the concept of "readiness for professional activity of marketing specialists" is specified; the criteria, indicators and levels of preparedness of marketing professionals for professional activity are determined.
