Tomashyna H. Preconditions for the establishment and development of agricultural experimental business in Kirovograd region (1874 – the beginning of the XXI century)

In the dissertation for the first time were comprehensively reflected the preconditions and features of formation of agricultural research in the territory which at this stage is assigned to the Kirovograd region. By systematizing the source material, part of which was first involved in scientific circulation, was characterized the activity of sectorіal scientific-and-research institutions of Kirovograd region in the XX – beginning of XXI centuries, which formed the historical basis of the leading scientific-and-research institution in the region – the Institute of Agriculture of Steppe of NAAS. In historical retrospect the following was analyzed: development of seed business in Kirovograd region; scientific achievements in crop production, selection of agricultural crops, breeding and zoo technics; transformation of forms and methods of popularization of scientific achievements into production activity of agricultural enterprises. It was established that the complex scientific support of agricultural production of Kirovograd region from the second half of the twentieth century, contributed to increasing the productivity and efficiency of sectorіal production in the region. It was figured out the current state of scientific and innovative support of agricultural production in the region and the factors that determine it.
