Shlomin O. Psychological features of the professiogenesis of the preventive activity units employees of the National Police of Ukraine

A theoretical analysis and empirical study of the psychological characteristics of the professiogenesis of preventive units policemen are carried out in the dissertation. The specific of law enforcement activity has high demands to the police officer as a subject of this professional activity, therefore, the question of the policemen professiogenesis covers the entire complex of problems of the professional policeman formation. According to the results of an empirical study of the peculiarities of professiogenesis of the preventive police unit’s employees, the psychological specificity of its various stages was revealed. It has been empirically established that at the beginning of training, first-year cadets are characterized by an unstructured attitude to the chosen profession of a policeman, they are distinguished by less use of professional knowledge, greater internal contradictions in professional self-attitude, the importance of self-appraisal of professional qualities and the meaningful and value sense of professional activity. The factorial structure of psychological factors of the professiogenesis of policemen in preventive units has been determined. In the study groups, the factor structure is distinguished by a distinctive content and correlation of components. A diagnostic toolkit is proposed and a training for police officers is developed, aimed at optimizing the professional genesis of policemen of preventive units.
