The paper is devoted to the theoretical grounds and development of the technology of individualised special physical training for referees during a competitive football season, which provides a set of elements: the purpose, tasks, correspondence criteria, stages, components, efficiency criteria. And its purpose is the development, substantiation and implementation of special physical training programs aimed at individualsed training process for referees and assistant referees depending on their performance and physical fitness levels, age characteristics, psychological state and practical refereeing experience. The work highlights the modern views on training for football referees, the complexity of refereeing, which constantly rises due to the high dynamics, intensification and rapidly changing game situations. The competitive activities of referees and the structure of their movement activities during a match were analyzed. The program of special physical training for highly skilled referees in the annual training cycle was developed. It is based on the individual approach to developing physical qualities of highly skilled football referees and includes successive training cycles with differentiated loads according to the tasks with often changed training components.
