Qadir A. Iraqi Kurdistan in the system of modern international relation.

The dissertation highlights the place and role of Iraqi Kurdistan in the system of modern international relations. The main factors in the development of relations between the Kurdish autonomy in Iraq and its main foreign partners and their relationship with the relations of the Kurdistan Region with the central government of Iraq have been identified. The historical origins of the Kurdish problem in Iraq, including its international aspects, are highlighted. The specifics of the legal status of the Kurdistan Region as a subject of the federation, the main contradictions between the autonomous authorities and the central government, in particular, regarding territorial delimitation, security and hydrocarbon production are analyzed. It is shown that the special status of Iraqi Kurdistan has made it a de facto subject of modern international relations. The peculiarities of the relations of the Kurdish autonomy with its main foreign partner - the USA are covered, the main characteristics of the relations of the Kurdistan Region with the influential regional states are determined.
