The dissertation investigates the scientific problem of preparing future bachelors majoring in physical culture and sports for professional and pedagogical activities in vocational education institutions and presents the author's solution. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the fact that for individuals who acquire vocational qualifications, physical training is particularly acute, as it helps to strengthen their health and physical endurance. That is why one of the important tasks of higher education in the field of physical culture and sports is the preparation of future teachers for professional and pedagogical activities in the conditions of vocational and technical educational institutions. It has been stated that there are some negative tendencies in the sphere of higher education of future sports and physical culture professionals. The basic contradiction, in particular, is between the public expectation for future teachers to be able to perform professional, pedagogical activities and interact effectively with students of vocational schools and the fact that the prevailing part of preparation of future bachelors in physical culture and sports narrowly specializes on sports methodical, technical and purely physical orientation. Clarification of the definitive apparatus of the study allowed to determine that the readiness of future teachers is associated with such important characteristics as psychological and pedagogical competence, pedagogical abilities, pedagogical skills, pedagogical creativity, pedagogical culture.
