Malynovskyi A. Personal determinants of forming a football coach image as a factor of professional improvement

The dissertation deals with the problem of forming the professional effective image of a football coach at different stages of professional improvement. The social and psychological conditions of a coach professional image formation that influence the effectiveness of a collaborative activity have been determined. According to the study the conditions involve being a part of collaborative activity and a existing social community; the performance of social role by the subject as an image carrier which is important for the overall group success; the group high intensity and complex interaction between the image carrier and the group members; increased social expectations from the subject, the image carrier by the group members regarding the group and personal success of the collaborative activity and demands satisfaction; the current professional image coincides with the expected (desired) one; emotional coloring and value and evaluation attitude of the subject (sportsman). The peculiar feature of a football coach activity, who guides training and competitive activities, fully meets the requirements according to which the coach’s image affects the footballer’s sport activity performance. Thus, we have theoretically grounded and determined the conditions under which the coach’s image as a subject of sport activity influences the performance. The structural, meaningful and personal components of a football coach’s professional image, which define the formation of a coach’s professional image, have been experimentally determined. The proposed technology for professional image correction and formation has been scientifically grounded. The pedagogical experiment was conducted to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed technology for the correction of personal determinants and components of football coaches’ professional image. The purpose of the research is to give scientific ground and develop the technology aimed at increasing the efficiency of the football coaches’ professional image formation and correction.
