The dissertation deals with the problem of formation of readiness of teachers of natural specialties in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education to development of entrepreneurial competence of high school students. On the basis of the theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the problems of introduction of entrepreneurship in the professional training of teachers of natural specialties of general secondary education institutions the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the research has been specified. It is established that the result of «readiness of teachers of natural specialties to the development of entrepreneurial competence of high school students» is the teacher’s ability to effectively carry out their professional activities, their mastery of a holistic system of knowledge, skills and abilities to develop entrepreneurial competence.
It has been found that the psychological and pedagogical features of the readiness of natural specialties teachers to develop entrepreneurial competence of high school students in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education will provide the following organizational and pedagogical conditions: integration of entrepreneurial content into natural sciences of teacher training in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education; strengthening the practical orientation of the process of professional training of teachers on the principles of variability and interconnection of traditional and interactive teaching methods and forms of education; introduction of special courses «Formation of Entrepreneurial Competence of Teachers of Natural Specialties», «Lessons with the Entrepreneurial Background as a Means of Forming Entrepreneurship and Initiative of Senior Students of General Secondary Education».
The components, criteria, indicators and levels of formation of the studied quality have been determined.
Formation of readiness of teachers of natural specialties in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education aimed at development of entrepreneurial competence of high school students is presented in the form of a model containing target (goal, task), theoretical and methodological (scientific approaches and didactic principles), content-procedural (readiness structure, forms, methods, means of formation of readiness of the teacher for development of entrepreneurial competence of senior pupils), criterion-effective (criteria, indicators, levels, determinants).
The analysis of the results of the formative stage of the pedagogical experiment testified to the practical significance of pedagogical conditions and the structural-functional model of forming the readiness of teachers of natural specialties to develop the entrepreneurial competence of high school students in professional training. This is evidenced by fixed positive changes in the levels of readiness of teachers of natural sciences in experimental groups: the number of teachers with a high (creative) level of development of this formation has doubled and the increase is 16,6 %, with a sufficient level of formation increase is 18,7 %, and at the low and middle levels there was a decrease in the number of teachers by 8,3 % and 24,0 %, respectively.
The results of the dissertation research can be used in the educational process of postgraduate pedagogical education institutions in the organization of formal, non-formal and informal education, which provides professional growth of teachers, improving their professional skills and prepares for the reform of education.
