Matsiuk H. Thesaurus as the instrument for information support of interdisciplinary scientific research

The overview of the main types and content of information retrieval thesauruses used in foreign and national libraries, as the information resource of the particular domain-specific structure and the tool for search document images and library retrieval requests formation is carried out in this thesis. The hierarchy analysis method is used in order to select the “Smart City” domain knowledge presentation model while developing the libraries information resources. The thesauri evolution in their history development aspect is considered. The role of specific purposes information retrieval thesauruses in the processes of domain terminology systematization and the possibility of their use as the means of increasing search efficiency in modern automated information library systems are analyzed. On the basis of the scientific publications analysis, approaches to the formation bilingual information retrieval thesaurus development are consolidated contributing to the efficient formation of libraries information resources metadata, and the algorithm for its development is constructed. The “Smart City” bilingual information retrieval thesaurus consisting of three parts: introduction, alphabetic lexical-semantic index of terms and permuted index is developed. The “Smart City” thesaurus is used to form the unified document search image and users request search image; document indexing; performing the relevant search in electronic catalogs and libraries databases is developed.
