Essay

The thesis theoretically substantiates and practically solves the current scientific and methodological task of future biology teachers training for research activities in general secondary education institutions in the context of computerizing amplification of public life. The conceptual apparatus also includes a number of concepts, the definitions of which were clarified and specified in accordance with the purpose and subject of the study. Among them – research activity of higher education students and its varieties: training and research activities; training and research skills that are formed in the process of these varieties, respectively; structure of research competence, that consists of interrelated components (motivational, cognitive, operational and reflexive); fundamentalization of the content of pedagogical biological education as a factor in the design of research activities and, accordingly, the formation of research skills. The pedagogical (didactic) conditions are determined in the thesis; the structural functional model of future biology teachers training for research activity in general secondary education institutions is theoretically substantiated, developed and experimentally checked.
