Essay

The dissertation presents a theoretical generalization and empirical solution to the problem of using visual, figurative, verbal and coloristic reconstruction of personal symbols as a condition for women to overcome the state of disadaptation. The state of disadaptation is seen as a state of semantic mismatch between symbolic meanings and direct personal experience. Reconstruction of personal symbols is a process of search and transformation of personal symbolic meanings where the symbol is a universal language code that promotes the processes of obtaining and understanding new meanings by the individual during its reconstruction. Changes in the content of interpretation of personal symbols during the correction process with the use of reconstruction of personal symbols are empirically investigated. A network of codes for overcoming the state of disadaptation, empirically identified in the process of reconstruction of personal symbols, is described. It is determined that the reconstruction of personal symbols, in the vast majority, performs an actualizing and meaningful function and is a condition for overcoming the state of disadaptation in women.
