The dissertation for the degree of a candidate of psychological sciences on the specialty 19.00.09 «Psychology of activity in special conditions». - Ivan Chernyakhovsky National University of Defense of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2021. The scientific work analyzes the concepts and approaches to the study of the essence ofsocial organization, organizational change, change management available in psychological science. It has been established that the conditions of change should be considered the circumstances under which the leaders of the OSU perform their duties. They require the acquisition of additional knowledge about the object and subject of management activities, significant changes in approaches and methods of activity, overcoming internal resistance and resistance of subordinates to the introduction of innovations. They are characterized by innovations in the organizational structure and non-standard, dynamic situation at the state border and require adequate management actions to organize the operational and investigative activities of the OSU and additional work with subordinates.The content of the concept "psychological readiness of the head of the operational search unit to manage in conditions of change" is specified. The structural-functional model of psychological readiness of the head of OSU for management in the conditions of changes is offered, the basic provisions of which became: adequacy (reliable reflection of empirically confirmed properties of object); completeness (taking into account all the completeness of information about the object of study, its main connections and determinants); flexibility (reproduction of the object in the whole range of parameters); conciseness (information about the object and its volume is the minimum necessary). Structurally, the model consists of cognitive, motivational, personal, activity and regulatory components. It was found that in the process of development of psychological readiness of OSU leaders to manage in conditions of change, professional training acquires special significance, which determines the professional growth of the leader, the formation of psychological resistance to stress, the ability to adapt to change, to make decisions appropriate to the situation. According to the results of empirical research, the current state of development of psychological readiness of OSU leaders to manage in conditions of change is determined. To improve it, professional and psychological training has been developed. The implementation of this training allowed to increase the levels of development of all components of psychological readiness for management in the conditions of change and the importance of its integrative indicator in the participants of the experimental group. Practical recommendations are offered to the heads of management of subordinate operative-search bodies and divisions in the conditions of changes.
