Essay

The dissertation is focused on the current issue of professional training of choreography specialists at the universities of the USA. The scientific novelty of the results of this study consists in identifying the specifics of professional training of choreography specialists at the universities of the USA and practical recommendations as for the implementation of the constructive American experience in Ukraine, which were defined for the first time; the periodization of higher choreographic education in the USA was specified; the values, principles and priorities of the development of higher choreographic education were identified; comparative analysis of the professional training of choreography specialists in Ukraine and the USA was carried out; unknown and obscure sources of scientific information on professional training of choreography specialists in the USA were discovered. A combination of interrelated methods was used to achieve the aim of the research and to solve certain problems of the study. The analysis of the state of research of this scientific problem in home and foreign pedagogical theory is carried out. The conceptual and categorical apparatus of problem research is characterized. The understanding of concepts in the Ukrainian and American scientific and pedagogical fields is compared in order to ensure terminological unity and correspondence of comparisons. The development of higher choreographic education in the USA is outlined, on the basis of the analysis of sources the periodization of development of higher choreographic education in the USA is developed. The specifics of training of choreography specialists in US universities are determined. The basics of training of choreography specialists in the universities of the USA are considered, the values and beliefs which guide US higher choreographic education, are established. The principles on which higher choreographic education in the USA is based are described. Priorities have been identified which determine the direction of actions of organizations and individuals related to choreographic education, for implementing positive changes at the national, state, local and personal levels. The institutional and organizational features of training of choreography specialists in the USA are characterized, the institutional support of professional training of specialists is determined. The specifics of general education training of choreography specialists in the USA are determined and characterized, the content of competencies is analyzed. On the base of analysis of training courses the mechanism of creating a student's individual educational trajectory is clarified.
