Kyian Y. Global coordination of strategies for economic development

The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study of global coordination of economic development strategies, identification of its main determinants, assessment of the latest trends in coordination at different levels of the global economy, calculation of its effectiveness and justification of sustainable economic development strategies. The conceptual apparatus concerning the term "coordination" was systematized in the work and the development of the theory of coordination was periodized. The author's interpretation of the content of global coordination of economic development strategies as a process of voluntary coordination of economic development strategies and plans at the national, regional and global levels in the conditions of uncertainty and turbulence of the global environment, which together creates a synergistic effect in solving global problems humanity was given. The study also presents the hierarchy of global coordination and its levels such as information exchange, mutually agreed policies and joint action. An analysis of the reasons for the increasing role of coordination as a new tool after the transition of countries to flexible exchange rates in the first half of the 70's was conducted. It is noted that the key reasons for that can be considered external uncertainty, loss of decision-making capacity within the country and the economic indicators of industrialized countries after the recession of 1974-1975.
