Essay

The research for the first time highlights the structure and composition of the school established by the outstanding scientist and designer of space rocketry, Vyacheslav Kovtunenko, as well as the key milestones of his work history. The school turned out to be having a strong leader and well-defined structure that well matched its activities. It is proven that the school of Kovtunenko can be attributed to the scientific and design establishments and has a synthetic character. For the first time, a “genealogical tree” of the Kovtunenko's school was built on the basis of the clarified composition of the teams of his students and followers. It is proven that the teams formed by V. Kovtunenko, nowadays continue this work in the field of rocket and space industry and education.
