Essay

The study for the first time with the help of historical and methodological analysis of the history of science in Ukraine, taking into account new trends in science and the interaction of science and society. It is proved that the popularization of science in Ukraine mainly has a one-vector orientation (from popularize to audience), does not use discursive forms. Historical and methodological analysis has shown that the popularization of science has gone from enlightenment (dissemination of scientific knowledge among the less educated), through propaganda (demonstration of scientific achievements as the highest achievements of mankind).
