Essay

Object – deindustrialization processes in terms of the global financial crisis. Subject matter – theoretical and methodical applied bases of the deindustrialization processes’ influence on the economic development of states during the global financial crisis Methods – dialectical method; systems analysis, comparative analysis, abstract and logical method; visual presentation; statistical methods; generalization. Novelty – the thesis deepens theoretical and methodological approaches aimed to substantiate positive and negative effects of deindustrialization in terms of the present crises and identify the key trends, patterns, and economic effects of it, followed by the development of proposals for the formation of an innovative model of transformation of Ukraine's industrial sector. Improved: conceptual and terminological issues of research in terms of the dual approach to the definition of deindustrialization; interpretation of the "financial crisis" concept, which considers three complementary approaches; scientific approach to determining the relationship between the deindustrialization and globalization; scientific and methodological approach to identifying the dependence of deindustrialization on the selected factors. Further developed: substantiation of macroeconomic effects of deindustrialization during the post-crisis period; empirical principles used for measuring the deindustrialization in terms of the labor intensity effect and the sector growth effect; scientific and applied proposals defining the strategic directions of development of the world economy in the context of the new industrial policy; industrial transformation strategies in the context of an effective state policy for the development of the industrial sector based on a combination of the "horizontal" and "vertical" models.
