The dissertation is devoted to the development and experimental substantiation of methodical approaches to the programming of the training process of highly qualified athletes in track and field combined events at the stage of direct preparation for competitions. The dissertation considers and generalizes the features of the content and structure of the training process of highly qualified athletes in combined events. The developed technique of control of training work in track and field combined events is covered. The calendar of competitions of highly qualified multi athletes in the annual macrocycle is analyzed.
