In dissertation, for the first time ever the veterinary immunobiology development in Ukraine is comprehensively reflected, on foot of analytical treatment of a significant amount of source material and research of predecessors. Most of the processed material is involved in scientific circulation. Prerequisites, historical features of formation and veterinary immunobiology development are determined. The veterinary immunobiology connection with related natural fields (medicine, cattle breeding, immunology, biotechnology, microbiology, molecular biology, virology, bacteriology, pharmacology, etc.) has been established. The higher education institutions and research institutions contribution to the veterinary immunobiology development is shown. Up-to-date (State Scientific Control Institute of Biotechnology and Strains of Microorganisms) and fundamental (National Research Center «Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine») sectors of immunobiological research are presented. The role of leading domestic scientists in veterinary immunobiology development is revealed and their significant scientific achievements are singled out. Special attention has been given to study of prophylaxis, diagnosis, and effectiveness of application and implementation of veterinary immunobiological agents in practice. It was found that the introduction of veterinary immunobiological agents significantly improves the epizootic situation in Ukraine and reduces economic losses. International cooperation and prospects for veterinary research development are shown in the context of Ukraine's integration into the EU.
