Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the pedagogical modelling of the professional military orientation of the students of secondary military education institutions. The analysis and generalization of the research results made it possible to define the students’ рrofessional military orientation as a component of the state system of employment and military-patriotic education of youth, which constitutes the organisational and pedagogical activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (hereinafter ‒ the AF) representatives, teachers, educators and other subjects of pedagogical activity in secondary education institutions, aimed at forming the students' professional military orientedness – an internally consistent, stable system of conscious needs, motives, goals, prospects, aspirations, motivations and values of acquiring a military profession. The experimental work on the study of professional military orientation of military lyceum students shows that the training of future military specialists in possession of the qualities that meet the requirements of the time involves the use of a set of pedagogical influences and interactions, reasonable criteria and relevant indicators for determining the lyceum students’ levels of professional military. The results of the study allowed to develop practical recommendations for the Departments of education and science of regional state administrations, the managers and teaching staff, students of military lyceums on the purposeful formation of professional military orientation in modern military lyceums.
