Essay

The thesis presents the results of theoretical and methodological analysis on the development of competence in Ukrainian dialogic speech in future lawyers during professional training. It clarifies the main concepts and categories of the research. Besides, the thesis reveals psycholinguistic principles and content of the educational process aimed at developing competence in Ukrainian dialogic speech in future lawyers. Importantly, the thesis determines and scientifically justifies relevant pedagogical conditions for developing competence in Ukrainian dialogic speech in future jurists. These conditions are the following: motivating future lawyers to acquire a culture of dialogic speech; enabling profession-oriented structuration of linguistic-communicative training for future lawyers; enhancing methods for developing dialogic speech in future lawyers. Also, the thesis substantiates the components of competence in Ukrainian dialogic speech (motivational, cognitive, activity-related). It also presents the author’s structural-functional model of developing competence in Ukrainian dialogic speech in future lawyers. The model consists of the following blocks: goals; theories and methods; content and activities; diagnostic and results. The thesis improves the criteria (motivational-axiological, cognitive, behavioral), indicators and levels (high, sufficient, average, low) for assessing professional competence in Ukrainian dialogic speech. The thesis further develops provisions on the use of methodological approaches and general didactic principles in professional training of future lawyers.
