The chronological boundaries of the study are outlined by the appearance of stage works by Iryna Wilde - a short story collection "Quirky Heart" and the epic novel "Sisters Richynsky", awarded the highest literary awards of Ukraine: in 1936 - the Prize of the Lviv Society of Writers and Journalists named after Ivan Franko Of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko.
Subject: genre and style dominants of short stories, novels, novels in the works of Irina Wilde.
Purpose: to analyze the genre and style features of Iryna Wilde's works in the Ukrainian prose discourse of the 30-60s of the XX century.
Tasks: to consider the work of Irina Wilde in Western Ukrainian literature of the 30-60s of the twentieth century; to cover the literary reception of the creative work of the writer; substantiate genre modifications of Irina Wilde's works; analyze the genre range of the author's short stories; identify stylistic syncretism in works of small genres; explore the genre dominants of the story trilogy "Butterflies on Stilettos", "Beats Eight", "Adult Children"; to reveal the genre and style originality of novelism; generalize the poetic features of the epic novel "The Richyn Sisters".
Research methods: cultural-historical, comparative-typological, structural-functional, biographical, psychological research methods. Elements of receptive aesthetics, narratology, and hermeneutic approach were used at different stages of the work.
Novelty: in the dissertation for the first time in Ukrainian literary criticism the prose work of Iryna Wilde is systematically studied through the prism of its genre and style originality; in the diachronic aspect its literary-critical reception is systematized; reinterpreted the early lyrical and psychological prose of the writer (short stories, short stories, novels), clarified the genre paradigm of the author's great prose, in particular, analyzed the narrative cycle and novels through the prism of genre synthesis; the peculiarities of the author's individual style, conditioned by the ideological and ideological factors of the historical period, her significant place in the Ukrainian literature of the XX century are determined.
Theoretical significance: the main provisions of the dissertation testify to new approaches to the analysis of Irina Wilde's works as a genre system; specify genre modifications of short stories; generalize the poetics of autobiography, in particular the specifics of autobiographical space, in novels and literary principles of modeling existential situations in works of this genre; complement theoretical judgments about the novel "The Richyn Sisters" as an epic novel; open new opportunities for the systematic study of Irina Wilde's work; provide prospects for future research studies.
Practical significance: the results of the dissertation can be used in lecture courses on Ukrainian literature of the twentieth century, in elective components of higher education programs on genre problems and idiosyncrasies, during the study of Western Ukrainian literary process of the twentieth century in secondary education, followed by theoretical and historical-literary comprehension of Irina Wilde's work, when writing term papers, bachelor's and master's theses ..
The structure of scientific work. The dissertation consists of an introduction, four sections divided into subsections, conclusions and a list of sources used (327 items). The total volume of the dissertation is 217 pages, including 170 pages of the main text.
