The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive research of theoretical, legal and practical aspects of the institution of neutrality in international law, its development from concept to practical institution, its legal essence and forms, features of application and experience of foreign countries in its implementation. The research analyzes the legal nature and retrospective of the formation of the institution of neutrality within the doctrine of international law since the period of the first mentions in the legal doctrines of ancient Greece and Rome.
