Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of professional training of economic specialists in Germany. The features of structure, content, forms, methods of professional training of economic specialists in German higher education institutions (differentiation of content and duration of Bachelor programmes, Bachelor and Master Degrees as main and secondary, dual training, bilingual Master programmes) are defined. The structure and content of Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in economics at public and private higher education institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany was clarified (internationalisation of professional disciplines, wide range of elective disciplines and modules, introduction of "practical semester"). The criteria for admission to German higher education institutions for future economic specialists (Numerus clausus, waiting list) are concretized. The expediency of using the experience of German higher educational institutions of various types in the process of vocational training of economic specialists in Ukraine are defined (approximation of training content to the needs of both industrial and nonindustrial sector of the economy, setting the requirement for teachers of special courses of work experience in the specialty, the definition of a mandatory number of professional courses that students should study in foreign languages; the implementation of a bachelor's project as a compulsory component of the study plan for economists). Such aspects as differentiation of bachelor and master training programmes for future economists, modification of the content of their training, internationalisation of the professional training of economists, development of practical training programmes require further study.
