Essay

The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical and practical substantiation of drip irrigation regimes of new tomato varieties on dark chestnut medium loamy slightly saline soils of southern Ukraine using both mineral and organic nutrient backgrounds, when watering class II water (limited suitable for irrigation). The practical significance lies in the recommendations for producers to use different irrigation regimes, types of fertilizers and varietal composition, which will provide optimal levels of moisture and plant nutrition, obtaining maximum yields and product quality with minimum consumption of irrigation water and energy. The object of research is the process of formation of tomato productivity, dynamics of water consumption and average daily evaporation of plants depending on the irrigation regime, soil nutrient regime and varietal composition on irrigated lands of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine. The purpose and objectives of the study. The aim of the work is to improve the theoretical and scientific-practical principles of developing the optimal irrigation regime and feeding background of new tomato varieties by drip irrigation to increase their productivity in terms of regional climate change in the southern steppe of Ukraine. Research methods - general scientific (analysis, synthesis, observation, comparison, measurement, etc.), special (field, laboratory-field, laboratory, certified generally accepted scientific methods and DSTU), mathematical-statistical and computational-comparative. The practical significance of the obtained results is that in the conditions of local humidification the expediency of application of the irrigation regime with the level of pre-irrigation soil moisture of 80% HB in the soil layer of 0,3 m is experimentally established; application of organic fertilizer Bioproferm and the use of medium-ripe variety Kumach contributed to the formation of the largest volumes of gross output – 119,3 thousand UAH/ha, relatively net profit – 65,3 thousand UAH/ha, profitability – 144 % and the lowest cost - 614, 1 UAH/t. Sector – agriculture.
