Essay

On the basis of the scientific and theoretical analysis of methodological, linguistic, psychological, didactic, linguadidactic, lexicographic works, the foundation of the thesis research is characterized and taken as the ground for the formation of professionally oriented axiological communication skills in foreign students-nonphilologists. A professionally oriented axiological communicative portrait is presented as a cognitive activity construct that is a complex of certain knowledge and skills. It has a two-component (including a general educational invariant and professionally-oriented variable component) three-aspect (cognitive, linguistic, activity aspects) structure in accordance with a set of approaches (axiological, communicative-activity, acmeological, textocentric, lexicographic) and the principle of axiology. General intentions implementation of the educational and professional sphere, educational and scientific communication according to communicative situations, roles and stereotypes is carried out using a lingua-axiological professionally-oriented set of multilevelled linguistic units (lingua-axiologemes as linguistic units with evaluative semantics). Criteria (axio-cognitive, axiol-inguistic, axio-activity), subcriteria (general educational speech activity and professionally oriented axiological speech activity), indicators (gnosiological, linguistic, perceptual-activity and productive-activity) are defined. The levels (high, medium, low) of professionally oriented axiological communicative skills formation in foreign students of non-linguistic specialities are characterized.
