The subject of research - moral stability of sailors in the structure of individual and personal properties. Research methods: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, comparison, abstraction, generalization, systematization of scientific literature on the study of components of moral stability; empirical: method "Moral stability" respondents to remain resilient to external influences, to identify their attitudes to the environment and the ability to adhere to their own principles and values, a modified version of interpersonal diagnosis T. Leary (DMV, L. Sobchik), aimed at studying individual - personal characteristics; to test the level of stress and the ability to resist different types of stressors, the method of "Value Orientation" (M. Rokich) is based on direct ranking of the list of terminal and instrumental values, the method of "Self-actualization test" (CAT) , M. Zagika, M. Kroz); methods ma thematic statistics: descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, factor analysis (to minimize the number of variables and concentration of information in the form of a small array of data on the place of moral stability of seafarers in the structure of individual characteristics). Mathematical and statistical data processing was performed using Microsoft Office World (2007) and computer software SPSS for Windows (version 13.0.) The scientific novelty of the results of the dissertation research is that the first study of the inclusion of moral stability in the structure of individual characteristics sailors; It is noted that in sailors who are at the stage of the professional cycle of "research" and the age stage of early adulthood, moral stability has direct and inverse relationships with individual - personality traits, stress levels, terminal and instrumental values; there are no relationships between moral stability and scales of self-actualization; differences in models of individual-personal properties at sailors and psychologists are shown; clarified that: there are features and differences in the inclusion of moral stability in the structure of individual and personal characteristics of men and women: in women, moral stability is an important factor in personal characteristics; shy, introverted men are characterized by high moral stability, and confident and independent men are not inclined to show moral stability; received further development: views on the hierarchy of terminal and instrumental value orientations in individuals in early adulthood; views on the features of self-actualization of sailors, their communication features and self-regulation of aggression. The practical significance of the obtained results. The results of the study can be used by psychologists in the educational process of development of moral qualities and the formation of moral stability of the individual. Generalized theoretical and empirical results of the work are used in the teaching of courses "General Psychology", "Differential Psychology", "Age Psychology", "Psychology of Work", "Psychological Counseling". The package of psychodiagnostic methods for obtaining objective information on moral stability is used in practical classes, during students' internships, when writing term papers and dissertations.
