In the dissertation the in-depth theoretical generalization of the installation as a visual-communicative practice of creation of modern art space is carried out. The historical aspects, sources and historiography of the installation as an artistic phenomenon are revealed, in particular the state of the world and the formation of the Ukrainian experience of installations as artistic practices, previously unexplored aspects of art installation development in general cultural processes are covered. It is determined that installation as a visual-communicative practice of creating a modern art space and as an image of artistic thinking in the worldview of modern art practices opens wide opportunities for innovative art projects, the involvement of new technologies in the practice of artists. It is revealed that a specific manifestation of the socially adapted essence of the installation as a visual-communicative practice of creating a modern art space is that artists use different materials for their works, including household objects of the modern world. The typology of installations on various aspects of the impact on the viewer is highlighted. Theoretical, terminological and methodological principles of project formation through the prism of the analysis of modern visual art as a cultural factor of the latest visual and artistic activity are characterized. The periodization of the formation of installation projects in Ukraine and the world is traced, the methods of studying installations are covered. Various aspects of installations in the interpretation of modern visual art are studied. The historical and cultural ways of formation of world installation practices are analyzed and their influence on the development of installations on the Ukrainian artistic and social basis is revealed. The artistic features of installation projects as a form of artistic realization of the image in Ukraine at the beginning of the XXI century are revealed. The analysis of a set of theoretical sources, materials of art exhibitions, installation projects of world and Ukrainian artists is carried out. It is determined that the installation as a way of artistic thinking in the worldview system of modern artistic practices opens up wide opportunities for the implementation of innovative art projects, the involvement of the latest technologies in the practical activities of artists. The typology of installations of creation and influence on the viewer is highlighted. According to modern practice, installations are increasingly using the achievements of science and technology, as well as psychology and management. In the context of contemporary art, an installation is an important mechanism for the interaction of art and a person, it allows you to influence human feelings and aspirations, and thereby reveals a person's potential, gives him the opportunity to express himself, to take part in the creative process, thereby shaping a person's worldview. It has been determined that a specific manifestation of the socially adapted essence of the installation is that artists use materials for their works that have the ability to deteriorate and deteriorate. The theoretical, terminological and methodological principles of the formation of installation projects through the prism of the analysis of contemporary visual art as a cultural factor of the latest socio-cultural activity are characterized. The essence of the installation discourse is determined. It has been proven that an installation is the art of an individual, a non-intersecting figure, the main principle of which is to search for meaning in everything, in any object or phenomenon. The processes of formation of the installation as an image of artistic thinking in the system of modern artistic practices are traced. The main scientific categories and concepts that contribute to the successful preparation and implementation of modern projects in the art sphere are analyzed. An important component of the art of installation is the environment, within which space that is not utilitarian is used for installation performances, that is, numerous lofts, open spaces, as well as other rooms unsuitable for works of art.
