The dissertation analyzes the existing theoretical and methodological approaches and practical achievements in the field of integrated natural research of the NRF territory. The historical aspects of the formation and physical and geographical conditions of the territory of the national natural park «Slobozhansky» are investigated. The main geoecological problems of the park have been determined by means of landscape-ecological planning, the main directions of solving geoecological problems have been substantiated, namely: scientific, organizational, educational and educational. Based on a 5-year experiment, a conclusion was made about the possibility of forming children's knowledge and environmentally conscious behavior by systematically working with them directly in the park. Work with adults is aimed at improving their environmental culture and education for the conservation of protected landscapes and providing support for efforts to expand the park. On the basis of the received results of research the SWOT-analysis of geoecological problems is made and the basic ways of their decision are specified. Implementation of these measures will ensure the fulfillment of Kharkiv region’s obligations to increase the percentage of nature reserve areas and develop the ecological network by including the Merlot floodplain, which is part of the Galicia-Slobozhansky ecological corridor.
