Essay

The research deals with the urgent problem of training of future physical education teachers for local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach. The analysis of modern approaches to future physical education teachers’ training for local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach has been carried out, the conceptual and terminological apparatus of the researched problem has been specified, the essence of the concept "training of future physical education teachers for local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach" has been clarified. The structural components, criteria and levels are determined, the methodological approaches providing the formation of future physical education teachers’ readiness for local lore activities are substantiated. The thesis defines and puts into practice the following pedagogical conditions of training of future physical education teachers for local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach: stimulation of future physical education teachers’ positive motivation to mastering the content of educational materials on the organization of local lore activities; improving the educational content of the disciplines belonging to the cycles of general (fundamental) and professional (scientific and subject) training on the organization of local lore activities; identification of forms, methods and means of teaching that encourage the organization of local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach; future physical education teachers’ ability to acquire the experience of local lore activities during educational and pedagogical practical training. The model of training of future physical education teachers for local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach has been developed. It covers such components as: motivational (aim, objectives), cognitive (content, forms, methods, technologies), activity (levels, result). The main components of the model interact through feedback mechanisms. The model of future physical education teachers’ training is considered to be a complex, dynamic system that is implemented gradually (preparatory, basic and final stages) in the course of their professional growth. The process of training of future physical education teachers for local lore activities on the basis of the competence approach is realized through the complex application of interrelated methodological approaches: systemic, activity, integrative, competence, culturological. The results of the experimental work confirmed the fact that the substantiated pedagogical conditions and the model ensure the effectiveness of the formation of future physical education teachers’ local lore competence.
